The Making and Introduction of a New World

The new game should have energy as its theme, that of renewable resources versus non-renewable resources. As a player in this world, one must direct their forces to control and maintain their hold on the precious current non-renewable resources that power the machinery and technology of the world, and yet at the same time set aside funds and capital to develop new, efficient renewable energy sources that will last for generations and centuries to come. Old mindsets and attitudes must be overcome for this new source of energy to be accepted by the current order of the world. In this sense, players will market and promote the resources of their choice to their peers while simultaneously expanding their territories. Therefore, there are 2 crucial elements at play here, one being territory, the other being resource. Players can conquer land (through conquest or diplomacy) and gain a finite amount of non-renewable energy, and at the same time perfect and research a renewable energy source and form cabals and alliances to promote it. Eventually the non-renewable resources will die out, and the players will have to turn to the renewable sources to continue. Many interesting play strategies and networks will result from this dynamic. As opposed to current online MMOs that have infinite land and resources for the player to control and mind, the added element of finite resources and the inclusion of a separate renewable resource presents a new challenge for gamers that will separate our game from the others and make it more dynamic.

Play as either the X or Y faction, and experience a turn-based simulation combat unlike anything you have ever tried before. Will you control the destinies of thousands of (X reapers), who fight valiantly in the name of their homeland, or will you manipulate the insidious (Y swarms), who consume and subvert all who dare cross their path in the name of their mad (Hive mind). Gather your resources and allocate them well, for time is never on your side and fierce battles are fought over what meagre (name of resource) remains on this blighted world. Use cunning tactics and brilliant strategies to outwit your opponents and secure victory on the battlefield, or use eloquent words and a glib tongue to manipulate negotiations to your advantage in diplomacy. Expand your territories as you plot your next strike on your unsuspecting opponent. Be forewarned, for friend can become foe in the blink of an eye. Form alliances where necessary to combat a common menace, but beware that the hand that you shake with this morning can be the same hand that plants a dagger behind your back this night. Ultimately, the fate of an entire world rests in your hands.

Forever in flight, forever in fight….
Drommar are a naturally gifted race, blessed with high mental capacities that allow for telepathic powers and a linked bond between each individual that allows them to share their sensory experiences with each other. Theirs is a culture that never knew fear or doubt, and they built a civilization that far surpassed that of any other race. The pinnacle of this golden age is given the name Korrathir, and is still whispered in hushed reverence to this day.
With advancement and power came pride. The Drommar began to view it as their birthright to bring their high culture to the so-called lesser races, to provide these savages a modicum of power and technology that is their own. They awed and subdued the Xillitarth and Ki’shi, two minor amphibious races that dwelled on distant planets within their own solar system.
Of course, their well meaning intentions eventually led to their downfall…
Once a peaceful race that dwelled on the far distant planet of Karxon, the Drommar are forced into exile from their home world by the ever ravenous Xillitarth Swarm. Having gained the knowledge and technological prowess of the Drommar, the Xilitarth began to evolve at a frightening pace. Mindless larvae began to mutate into cunning stealth killers and the Hive Mind began producing never before seen variant strains of Xilitarth. These new breed of Xilitarth possess intelligence far beyond the previous strains and even incorporated Drommar technology into their DNA, evolving limbs which can emit energy blasts as as example. The Drommar, caught off guard by the sudden change of the formerly placid Xilitarth, suffered staggering losses as their outposts and orbital stations were overrun. The Drommar were never used to such displays of aggression and were unprepared military wise. Millions were slaughtered and their cities crushed beneath the might of the Swarm. Having no other recourse, they were forced to flee their home world with only a small portion of survivors to carry on their fallen legacy.
After many years of travelling the galaxy, they eventually found a world that is habitable. Calling it Jorthar, they began the long process of settling and colonizing the lush, abundant planet with the hope that their civilization can stand proud once again.
